Earthquake Kits

It seems like every time you turn on the TV or radio these days, there hasbeen another natural disaster.

It's common to hear of, tornadoes, typhoons, hurricanes, tsunamis (caused by earthquakes), and of course earthquakes themselves, causing huge destruction and with it, generally a loss of life.

Unlike weather disasters, where there is some warning, sometimes days in advance, earthquakes hit without warning. They strike suddenly and sometimes with catastrophic results.

Surviving an earthquake depends on how well you are prepared for the aftermath. The quake itself usually lasts only a few seconds.

During those few seconds unimaginable destruction can take place. Earthquake kits can and do savelives.

It is very important to have enough food, water and medical supplies for three days per person in your kit, earthquake kits can be purchased already prepared.

These earthquake kits contain many other necessities besides food and first aid supplies.

Blankets, solar powered radios, waterproof matches and many other essentials can be found in these kits. They can be purchased for a relatively small amount. Usually a two person kit cost between 80 and 150 dollars. A small price to pay for your life.

After the quake, you and your family are safe because of your preparedness, however, nothing can prepare you for the destruction of your home.

That's why it is so important to have earthquake insurance. Check with your home insurance company, if you don't have earthquake insurance, get it.

It can save you from financial disaster. Earthquake kits and earthquake insurance are two items you should purchase, then hope and pray you never have to use either one.
